Is Your Lexus Ready for Fall?

Fall is here, but is your Lexus ready for fall and more importantly, for what comes next? Winter can be hard on your car and fall is the perfect time to start paying attention to what your Lexus might need in order to be ready for whatever happens. Here’s some advice from Toy Doctor that can help.

Check the Tires

Your tires support your whole Lexus, so it’s important that they’re in good shape. This is an especially important step if your tires have a couple of years on them. How is the tread? Do you see uneven tread wear? What’s the air pressure doing? It might even be time to consider getting new tires now instead of waiting through winter. You’ll have the best traction when you need it most.

Don’t Forget Fluids

Your car’s fluids are really important in fall, too. Overnight is starting to get colder and colder, so it’s important that antifreeze levels are where they should be. If you don’t have enough antifreeze, that can cause problems with freezing, but it also causes big problems with your engine overheating. Neither are good for your car’s engine. Don’t forget also to check your windshield wiper fluid and your oil. Both are important to keep your car functioning properly, just in different ways.

Test the Lights

Mornings and evenings are darker, so it’s more important than ever that the lights are working properly on your Lexus. That means not just your headlights and your interior lights, but also the brake lights, fog lights, and turn signals. By double-checking your lights now, you’re less likely to have issues because you either couldn’t see something or someone else couldn’t see you.

Run the Heater

It might not be super cold yet, but that’s good news. You can test out your heater now, when you don’t need it to be fully on the job just yet. If you do have any problems with the heater, it’s better to find out now and get those addressed. Then, when the weather does start getting really cold, you know you can rely on your heater to keep you and your passengers comfortable when it’s cold and icky outside.
